That’s the magic that Dubai weaves around you, with its endless options for luxurious, bespoke and extremely unique stay options. It’s hard to grasp the fact that this incredibly vibrant destination, so evocative, so dazzling, was once a humble fishing village. You’ll just have to take our word for it. 1. JW Marriott Marquis
JW Marriot Marquis has the distinction of being the tallest hotel in the world. Literally. You’ll find some of the country’s best lounge salons and restaurants at this hotel. Book a stay in any of these suites – Vault, Morah, and Weslodge – and you can enjoy amazing, truly mindblowing views of the Burj Khalifa from your windows and balconies. 2. Burj Al Arab
The Burj is located on a reclaimed island about 280 meters offshore, accessed by a private bridge. The lobby is an extravaganza of gold and gilt, and each suitea two-story explosion of luxury, with full-sized his and hers Hermes toilets with complimentary designer toiletries. Staying in the main suite costs more than USD 25,000 a night. It has gold fittings, a gold toilet (no kidding!), a revolving, huge four-poster bed (??) and so much more. It would take many pages to list them all. However, the helipad is definitely worth a mention; when not in use, live performances by great international performers are held here. Burj al Arab is definitely one of the greatest places to stay in Dubai.
3. Atlantis Palm Jumeirah
Atlantis Palm Jumeirah is an architectural marvel, a beachfront exclusive that is spread across 46 hectares. This hotel boasts of 166 lavish luxury suites and 1373 air-conditioned rooms. With quick access to Aquaventure Waterpark, Dolphin Bay, plus the Lost Chambers Aquarium, there’s no end to the fun you’ll have here. Atlantis The Palm is home to some of the best restaurants such as Gordon Ramsey’s Bread Street Kitchen, and several food and beverage outlets. Then there’s the famous Underwater Suitewith floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded by 65,000 marine creatures.
4. Kempinski Hotel, Mall Of The Emirates
The Kempinski Hotel is a stone’s throw away from Ski Dubai, the only indoor ski resort in the Middle East! The suites are designed as independent chalets, and the Aspen Chalets overlook Ski Dubai’s slopes. You can get a birds’ eye view of the fantastic ski resort, with its huge mountain of ice and snow and its many ski slopes including a 400 meter Diamond Run. Sit in your suite and enjoy watching kids build snowmen and snow caves. Watch the penguins hop about in the Penguin Park. Get your bit of snow and ice too while you’re at it! 5. XVA Art Hotel
The former home of the Seddiqui family is the XVA Art Hotel, in the middle of the historic Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood. This boutique hotel is an example of minimalist Persian architecture, with each guest room designed to individual themes. You’ll have to walk through Al Fahidi’s charming, maze-like cobbled alleyways to reach this hotel. The hotel has a lovely boutique filled with charming trinkets, plus a café in the courtyard and an art gallery. Every now and then there are art exhibitions, festivals and fairs on this property.
6. Lapita Dubai Resort
The hotel flaunts a Polynesian theme – vivacious, charming and full of passion. Every pathway is lined with flowers that bathe the property in heady fragrance.
